Humble Beginnings

Life Around My Table

This past week I finally found the courage to start using my voice in my stories on Instagram @life_around_my_table!

I’m Serious!!!

This was a huge step for me. What’s that quote?

“The Journey of 1000 miles begins with a single step.” -Lao Tzu

Certainly, it is true that great things start from humble beginnings. Thank you for all of the Love and Positive Feedback! I received so many wonderful and encouraging comments.

My heart is full.

I think we can all agree that we are being redirected to embrace simpler times and to mindfully become aware of how and why we choose to place things in our lives these days.
I have systematically contacted my list of loved ones and spent time over the past few days catching up with their news. Whether through a phone call, text, or FaceTime chat, it has been calming and loving to be able to spend my time this way. I have even started to write letters again. It is interesting to note how cramped my hands were. I guess those muscles were out of shape. I remember taking a drawing class many years ago at Palomar College in Escondido, Ca, where I spent almost half the semester doing nothing but lettering. How wonderful it is to reconnect with my handwriting skills.

I’m going to get right into the recipes here.
I’m sharing my immune boosting beef broth.
This, you will be able to use multiple ways. I’ll also show you how to use it in an incredibly quick stew.

And here’s a great way to use all of that delicious meat saved from the broth!

Life Around My Table

As with all good things, there is always someone behind the scenes helping to create the magic. If you haven’t met @pourstyles, Arielle DeFatta, it is time you did. She is smart, kind and a whole lot of good energy to be around. My blog wouldn’t be half of what it is without her know how and abilities. For awhile now, I have wanted a feature for you to be able to download and print my recipes. I’m so appreciative that this is now available. Of course, I will still need to learn the little details of how to properly work it, but every little step forward is progress.
Thank you Arielle!

Life Around My Table

As we spend more of our time these days in Stay at Home Isolation, it has surely given me a chance to tackle my long list of to-do’s around my house. Everything from tree trimming outdoors to organizing linen closets inside; things are getting done and somehow there isn’t the mad dash to get it accomplished fast.

I pray.
I pray for you and for me. I pray that the best human characteristics rise to the top and work effectively together to eradicate this virus globally. In doing so, may there be beauty in the becoming,

Becoming Anything You Choose To Be.

Peace and Light

I must say that we all sure have enough time to think about who we want to be going forward! For me, I’m certain, simple is better. I’ve been doing a lot of updating in my little patio backyard and I’m hoping to start planting again this week. I think I’ll get my son up early one morning and have him go with me to the garden store. Once moving, he really is a lot of fun on these types of adventures.
You have no idea how happy I am that you were able to print this recipe. My main motivation was to get this format working for you! Mission accomplished with Love!
      Un forte abbraccio
      XOXO 😘

Thank you for the positive post. The recipes are a bonus. Your blog is a source of inspiration and I am glad I found it through dear Elizabeth.
How strange, I too don’t like to use my voice. I think it’s croaky 🙂

Good morning to you! Isn’t it strange the things we think aren’t ‘perfect’ about ourselves, when no one else in the world looks at us that way? I’m so happy that you are here with me and that you can find a little spark of inspiration, too. I know that for me, when I keep things positively focused my energy levels stay much happier! Thank you very much for your kindness. It means the world to me.💞🙋🏻‍♀️💞
